We had a great weekend. Got out of town to go visit "fallingwater". We left on Friday morning and drove in the pouring rain most of the day. We stayed in New Stanton at a nice Comfort Inn that Mike Mummert hooked up for us. We got a suprise when we went into our room, they upgraded us to the suite with a hottub in the room. It was nice blessing from the general manager of the hotel to do it for us. We rested on Friday afternoon and got in the car and started driving to see what we could find. We stumbled upon Greenburg, PA and found a cool restaurant that was formerly a train station. Had a good hour wait for a table and enjoyed people watching. The place was packed. Saturday we got up at 6am to be at Fallingwater for our 8:30am tour. Had a nice drive that morning and got to fallingwater on time. What an amazing experience it was to tour that house. We both had no idea what a beautiful place this is. It was more like a piece of art and we were touring inside of it. The thought and time they put into every detail was almost beyond words. It was nice being the first tour off because when we were finished, the place was packed. I think they take a new tour out every 15 minutes. After we left fallingwater, we once again just started driving, found a cool little town, Ohiopyle. The town is all driven by the beautiful river and the surrounding mountains. Bike rental shops, rental canoes and white water rafting trips. You could tell that the town buzzes in the summer with life. We stumbled upon some beautiful water falls right in the town and enjoyed them for a bit. We were both very relaxed at this point and just enjoyed being with each other in the middle of no where. I can now say I know what it's like to be married to your best friend. We then left Ohiopyle and stumbled upon some more beautiful water falls-cucumber falls. Hiked down to check them out (I almost fell into the water and Yvette makes this swimming motion with her arms, maybe flailing, to describe how I was trying to keep my balance, which I did, thank you very much). We then started driving back towards the hotel, which was about an hour away. Stumbled upon a few more little towns and things to see. We went back and had a nice nap and then went off to dinner. Found a great Italian restaurant and had a yummy meal. Sunday morning it was up and on the road. Very nice drive back in beautiful weather. Got home in the early afternoon and had time to relax before the week. It was one of the best weekends I've ever had. Just being with my girl and enjoying our time the Lord has blessed us with. It's hard to be apart from her now that we're both back to "real life". Bummer, but it is what it is. I just know that we will have many, many, many weekends like this and I'm already looking forward to them.

I am currently reading the book "Knowing God" by J.I. Packer. This below statement really hit me and I wanted to share it with you.....Josh
But we cannot recognize God's wisdom unless we know the end for which He is working. Here many go wrong. Misunderstanding what the Bible means when it says that God is love (see 1 John 4:8-10), they think that God intends a trouble-free life for all, irrespective of their moral and spiritual state, and hence they conclude that anything painful and upsetting (illness, accident, injury, loss of job, the suffering of a loved one) indicates either that God's wisdom, or power, or both, have broken down, or that God, after all, does not exist. But this idea of God's intention is a complete mistake. God's wisdom is not, and never was, pledged to keep a fallen world happy, or to make ungodliness comfortable. Not even to Christians has He promised a trouble-free life; rather the reverse. He has other ends in view for life in this world than simply to make it easy for everyone.
What is He after, then? What is his goal? What does He aim at? When He made man, His purpose was that man should love and honor Him, praising Him for the wonderfully ordered complexity and variety of His world, using it according to His will, and so enjoying both it and Him.
His ultimate objective is to bring them to a state in which they please Him entirely and praise Him adequately, a state in which He is all in all to them, and He and they rejoice continually in the knowledge of each other's love-men rejoicing in the saving love of God, set upon them from all eternity, and God rejoicing in the responsive love of men, drawn out of them by grace through the gospel.

Spring is here today. We're very excited to spend our first spring together at our little cottage on the hill. Flowers are starting the bloom, birds chirping, snow shovel put away...all the good things spring has to offer. I especially enjoy the mornings in the spring time in central PA. Nice and crisp and great time to be with the Lord. We have some plans for the yard this spring. We want to plant some new grass and plant some flowers and trees. It'll be fun. I want a hot tub, but that will probably wait....yah, I'm sure it will wait...Other than that, we have planned a few trips. Going to northern PA for her birthday weekend, going to spend some time in the mountains, which we're both very excited about. We're also going to Jax for The Players Championship golf tourney. My parents we're very kind to invite us down for the weekend and it will be nice to be back in Jax for a couple of days. I've learned not to make too many plans with my limited time while I'm there, so we'll just hang with the family, go to the tourney and play a little golf. I'm also excited to go back to Celebration Church and hear Pastor Stovall preach. He always shares a great message and I'm looking forward to seeing some people there that I haven't seen in awhile. I keep getting asked how married life is for me, well, it's great. It's really nice to have my best friend and lover around all of the time. Of course it's not perfect, but we enjoy building our relationship together and talking about pretty much everything. I swear we could talk about dirt and it would be a long, intellectual conversation. Come to think of it, I think we have:)
Have you glorified God today?

Not much new to report. Got our big ol' king bed this weekend, much nicer and a lot more room for the both of us. My girl worked all weekend and I had off, something not right about that, but we're both aware that it's not right and we're seeing what are options are to make it right. Other than that, just living our little married life in New Holland. We're enjoying our house and each other.

As the old saying goes "all good things must come to an end" well, our time off has and the wedding is over. Tough putting all of your thoughts and energy into something that last's but a few hours and the time off also had to come to an end. We are both back at work now and back to our routine. We've adapted fairly well to living together. We had to upsize to a king bed that comes this weekend, but other than that, everything has been peachy. Awesome to have my wife at our house, finally. It's nice knowing I get to see her every night and enjoy our time together. She is truly my best friend and I don't want to be with anyone else. Every time I look at my wedding ring (still kind of a trip, since I don't wear jewelry) I think of her and having her as my wife. We both are very blessed and God provided us with an awesome wedding and great honeymoon together. I keep thinking that it's not over, it's just beginning. I'm exicted to strengthen our marriage with God's guidance and looking forward to being the man she deserves......

Proud to introduce, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Lee. What an amazing day it was! A wonderful day the whirrled by. We were told to enjoy the day and not worry about anything, we did enjoy it and everything went great, beyond our expectations. It was truly a blessing to have everyone there. The ceremony/sermon that Pastor Tom spoke was amazing. The reception was awesome, enjoying all our friends and family. It was bitter sweet at the end, knowing that we put so much time and effort into the whole thing, to have it end.....looking back, putting it all together was a blessing with my girl. We grew close and work very well together. Today I am a husband of the most beautiful girl in the world. I cherish her and was so excited to wake up next to her this morning.

One day to go! Been a whirlwind the last couple of days. So much going on with getting the last things done and having everyone here. It's been a blast though, everything I thought and everything we will always remember. Had the rehersal tonight and our dinner at town hall. It was great to see the room all put together and knowing my Mom, my niece, my girl, her Mom, her Uncle Greg and Michael and know all they did together was amazing. Tomorrow is the big day and I'm very, very excited. We're both very, very excited! Can't wait to spend my life with my best friend, my girl and my tomorrow to be WIFE! I get to say that tomorrow! Well, off to some last minute few details and then off to bed. My last night with an empty bed. I'm ready to share it!

Three days. Dale would be proud to see his number on our blog. The delay in the posts was caused by being very busy with a bunch of stuff. Finished up the house on Friday and then ran to Philly to pick up Matty. Great that he's here to share this with us. Went to Jersey yesterday for a nice drive. Was worn out when we got home around 11pm. My parents will be here today and then everyone else will be trickling in the next couple of days. We're at the point of just being able to go to the wedding and enjoy it. Not much else to do now. We're both very excited, more excited than I have ever been. What an awesome week this will be. God has really blessed us and we both feel really humbled by it all.

Was unable to post yesterday, the actual lucky 7. Very exciting day yesterday knowing we were a week away. Had a great day driving with my good buddy, Doug Groff to New Jersey. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day and not really any traffic. It was nice to just cruise along and talk about life. We're both very blessed right now with wonderful women and I'm really thankful God has put Doug and Melissa in our lives right now. Got home and had a great night with my girl. We worked on finishing up the last part of the house and should be done before everyone arrives. We work well together and enjoy doing it together. Pretty soon she won't have to leave and "go home" she'll already be home!Tuesday, February 24, 2009

In case you didn't know, we're getting married next week. Pretty cool to be able to say "next week" hee, hee:) Thought this week would be nice and breezy, but no, little things keep coming up. I don't know if it's the thought of actually thinking "next week" and having it come to reality or the little things are actually popping up! Oh well, God will get us through everything and no worries, just peace about the day. Getting over a cold, which is good that I got now instead of next week. Praying Yvette doesn't catch it.

Lucky 13!
Getting closer and closer as the days go by. Finished a couple of final details with our angel, Elene. She has helped us soooo much with everything. What a blessing she is! I'm really happy to get to know her since she is Yvette's good friend. She has 2 wonderful boys, Kimon and Nikko that are now my friends that I get to play with while Elene and Yvette are finishing everything up. We're almost to the point of being done with everything, enough to say we can't do anything, other than show up! Brown chicka, brown cow! Wednesday, February 18, 2009
2 weeks!
2 weeks from today we will be Marching Forth as one with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Actually 2 weeks exactly in 19 minutes! Got a lot going on right now with work, wedding and coordinating everything. All that matters is marrying my girl. All of this stuff is so "in the moment" and marrying my girl is forever and that is all that I am really thinking about. We all go through our daily lives and I have to keep thinking about all that I went through in my past that I was stressed out with and now to look back, it was nothing. God got me through some crazy things and I know he'll get me through this. What a great feeling!

Fine Fifteen!

Top of the morning to all! Plugging along here. In a way it's a lull and maybe a calm before the storm. Not going to be a storm, but we foresee a whirlwind when the "big week" comes. Finalizing the music, meeting with the photog to go over final details and meeting with Lauxmont to go over their final details and our expectations. I'm sure all of these people think Yvette and I are a bit odd with how detailed both of us are. Hey-we know what we want and are paying for it and by golly, they will do it that way or not at all:) God has really put some amazing people in our lives and they have been nothing but accommodating with all of our needs. We both commented last night that we wish in a way that we were going to our wedding, so we could enjoy what the guests are going to be enjoying. We will though, but it's going to be a whirlwind of a day. Very excited, very, very excited:)

Sweet 16!

How sweet it is! Had a great valentines weekend. Spent the morning with my girl, going to our favorite restaurant and then having her bridal shower. Her Mom did a fabulous job with putting everything together. God has put amazing friends into our lives and it showed on Saturday. It was great having everyone come out and enjoy the day with us. We got some serious loot and we're very excited to unpack it and use it. Very thoughtful presents that everyone gave us. I didn't realize that you get all of this when you get married! Awesome! Preperations are in full swing, final details to take care of and we will be there before we know it. This is both of our full week at work, both looking forward to the time off after the wedding and our little honeymoon in New Holland. What a great time this is in both of our lives and we feel really blessed to be able to share it with all of our friends and family. Jesus rocks and is sure showing it in our lives!

In the teens!

Interesting to think we're now in the "teens" it's been a long process to get to this point. I think of many things that had a countdown in my life, getting out of school for the summer, starting a new job, moving somewhere (that happened a lot) and now counting down to my wedding. This is by far the best countdown I have had in my life. I think about that day and I don't think I can actually process what it's going to be like. We have everything planned out, but when I think of it, it's probably going to be a whirlwind, one of just complete joy and happiness. I was talking to my friend Christa the other day and she asked me if I've thought of the moment that I will see Yvette walk through that door, she said that it will completely take my breath away and I think that is probably the best way to describe how I am feeling and how I am going to feel. As you can tell, I am very excited and very much counting down the time to marry the girl of my dreams. ROCK ON!

24 Days!
Well, here we go-getting ready for the last 3 weeks before we March Forth together. Everything is humming along very well, thank God. It's been a little crazy for the past 2 weeks. I came down with a migraine (my yearly 2 week migraine) It was a tough couple of weeks dealing with it, but God got me through it. I know what to expect now when they come and I just have to ride it out. I really have to thank everyone for praying for me, without that, I know I wouldn't have had the patience to get through it and the healing that has finally come. We still don't know what causes them, but if all I have to do is deal with 1 a year, I think I can handle it. It was trully a blessing that I didn't have one during our wedding week, that would have been rough. Enough about that and me! Yvette had a surprise bridal shower from her co-workers last night. It was a great time and it was really nice of them to surprise her with everything. I can tell they trully value their friendship with her. She got some great things that we will both enjoy:) We're looking forward to these last days of enjoying what will come before everyone arrives and we enjoy our day God has provided for us.

38 Days!
Yvette here, 38 days and counting. Each day brings more excitement for by pending nuptials. I can't wait to be Mrs. Josh Lee! Not only do I get to move up in the alphabet but I get to marry my dream man. I had given up all fantasies that he existed until that fateful day when while sitting in the loo I heard his voice. Yes, I was multitasking, peeing and screeening my calls. I'll never forget hearing that wilcoesque voice. Immediately I knew this was no ordinary caller. Maybe it was what he said or how he said it. Perhaps it was God placing it on my heart or my own perception knowing something lie on the other end of that call. Either way there was a comfortable familiarity in what I heard. It wasn't long afterwards that I returned the call and left a message. Josh could tell you exactly how long it took for me to call, what I said, and whether or not he was in the loo. They were the first of many phone calls and the beginning of the best thing that ever happened to me! Signed, the Future Mrs. Josh Lee

The hearts....

It was bad weather on Monday-snowed all day. Yvette worked and drove from work in what she said was the worst driving weather she has ever driven in (yes, I offered to come pick her up, but she didn't want me to) she drove straight to our house and stayed for a bit. When she was ready to leave, she asked me to take her home. I drove up her driveway, we kissed and I said goodnight. I backed up and drove down the driveway. The next morning Jane, Yvette's mom noticed 2 large hearts in her driveway, which she thought I did on purpose. Needless to say, I'm not very artistic and couldn't have done it......
It is her! Yipppee!
WoW! As I sit here and think what a great day it is, a very profound day in our lives. I can't help but think of the past, thinking back when I was a little guy and wondering "who will that girl be that I marry one day"? "wonder where she is"? "wonder what she'll look like"? "wonder when we'll actually meet"? wonder how we'll meet"? all of those things have been answered now. It really brings me back and as I reflect on it, it is almost surreal to get these answers. I always did pray for her and now to know it was Yvette who I was thinking of and praying for makes it that much better! I feel so blessed to have met the girl of my dreams and God does provide all of the answers, on his own time, not ours. I'm really glad that I did wait and didn't "settle" along the way......

43 Days!
Everything is going great! God is good! Spent the weekend (again) finising up the bathroom. Still about a week away from being totally done-we'll see how that goes. Everything is sailing smooth for the "big day" just a few little things to wrap up. We're both very excited and with 43 days away, we can really start to see what God has done with providing everything to us. We hope and pray our guests enjoy themselves as well.
But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! Romans 1:19

48 Days!
Rocking and rolling all the way to March Fourth. Everything is going great! Got our wedding bands and bought a new toilet all in the same day. We had a great time doing both of those together! Oh, the little things in life.....Everything else is under control, finishing the bathroom this weekend and finalizing some little details. I think this is the lul and then a couple of weeks before the "big day" we'll have a bunch of little things come up. Oh well, God is guiding us and we both have this amazing peace. It's all great and I can't wait!

52 Days!
Great weekend! God is continuing to bless us the whole way in everything we do. We worked on the bathroom all weekend, it's getting close and should be done by next weekend. I'm learning that you can never predict the unforeseen issues that come up, so if something does come up and we can't be done next weekend, oh well, we'll make it work. Having a blast doing all of this with my girl. We've really grown closer through this house and everything we do. I recommend any engaged couple to do something such as buy a foreclosure and re-model it! Other than that, the wedding plans are full steam ahead. We got great news on Friday that my brother and his family will be joining us, it really means a lot to us that they will all be here to be part of it. There was a chance with quarter finals for Zeke and Dash that they wouldn't be able to make it, but now to know they'll be here, makes us really happy. Till later.....

GOD is great!
It's all good! God is great and he is giving us more than we could ever ask for-the people he has put into our lives, the place to marry, the friends that will be here to enjoy this celebration and the wisdom and patience to do it all.
Spent a great morning with Yvette, drove her to work and had a nice talk and prayer time together. I commented that this is the most excited I have been with anticipation ever in my life, knowing that I will get to marry the girl of my dreams and spend Eternity with her.
Everyday seems to bring a new "little" detail that we have to get done in order to make March Fourth special for her. God has provided everything so far and isn't about to stop now. It's a good feeling-peace.
All of the wedding is happening while we decided to re-hab our bathroom last weekend. It throws a little wrench into everything, but it will be worth it. Once again God has provided us with the right people at the right price to get this done. We're very excited......
